TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account
TabTrade — The Short Version
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
That last detail is relevant. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is solid.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The speed is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
This is the detail that matters. The broker is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. This does not guarantee anything. But inform your assessment.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
